The 4th National Technical Committee on Lightning Protection's Re-election Meeting and 2026 Annual Meeting were held in Beijing and have successfully concluded!
Jul 01, 2026On June 26–27, 2026, the 4th National Technical Committee on Lightning Protection Standardization (SAC/TC 258) held its re-election meeting and 2026 annual conference in Beijing. More than 80 committee members, observers, and delegates from sectors such as electric power, construction, meteorology, railways, telecommunications, automotive, wind power, the military, and photovoltaics attended the event.
The meeting reviewed the drafts for approval of four national standards: GB/T 33588.2 “Lightning Protection System Components (LPSC) – Part 2: Requirements for Conductors and Earth Electrodes”, “Technical Specifications for Lightning Monitoring Systems”, “Technical Specifications for Lightning Protection of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations”, and “Technical Specifications for Information Acquisition and Transmission in Lightning Early Warning Systems”. Anhui Jinli participated in the drafting and revision of two of these standards. All committee members unanimously agreed that the four standards should be submitted to the Standardization Administration of China after being revised and refined in accordance with the comments made during the meeting.
The meeting successfully concluded after fully completing its agenda. The members of the 4th National Technical Committee on Lightning Protection Standardization have consistently taken a holistic view of industry development, closely monitoring technological trends and core application needs in the field. They have continuously refined and systematically improved the national standard system for lightning protection, executing the initiation, drafting, revision, and review of standards in an orderly manner, thereby comprehensively enhancing the scientific rigor, field applicability, and cross-standard coordination of the standards.
